Tot seguit, s\u2019explica el concepte de mediaci\u00f3 period\u00edstica i la seva rellev\u00e0ncia per a comprendre el paper del periodisme i els mitjans de comunicaci\u00f3 en el proc\u00e9s de construcci\u00f3 de la realitat. Seguidament, es fa refer\u00e8ncia al concepte d\u2019objectivitat i al proc\u00e9s de selecci\u00f3 informativa basat en criteris com ara actualitat, proximitat, rellev\u00e0ncia i inter\u00e8s. Despr\u00e9s, s\u2019expliquen les fonts informatives i s\u2019emfatitza la import\u00e0ncia de verificar les informacions.
